LeCoultre Futurematic 'Porthole'

Wow, this is a rare one! The futurematic model was made from 1952 (one of the first fully automatics) until 1958. Most were sold in the USA under the LeCoultre name but the most rare of all is this model, the so-called 'Porthole'. The movement is very special as well as setting the time is done at the caseback... because of this a regular crown is not needed and the design is very clean! This example is one of the best I ever saw, super minty! The original dial has raised pink-gold indexes and hands. The steel case with ref E502 measures 37mm. Movement is Cal 817/1 (no picture as opening it is something a watchmaker should do;). Attached is a very nice croco strap which matches perfectly. Unique opportunity and cheaper than it's JLC brother!
