Rare Oversize 37mm Omega Cosmic Moonphase in steel #2486
This is not your ordinary Omega Cosmic... it's not the 34mm version but the super rare, larger 37mm variant ref 2486 from the end 40's. What's even more special is that it's all steel (most were made with gold-filled cases). On top of this, it has one of the rarest dial versions for this model. The original dial has slightly aged but is in lovely condition and features silver foil numerals and alternating applied steel hour dots with matching steel hands. The date ring is also silver with blue date print, matching the blue date-indicator hand. The date windows are in Spanish and the moonphase disc has aged into a stunning brown with gold moon and stars. The lovely steel case measures 37mm excl. original crown. Movement is Omega's Cal 381 which is in great condition and running well. Attached is a period style bead of rice bracelet but it can also be delivered on a nice leather strap if desired. I cannot stress enough how rare this model is! One can easily see the similarities to a Rolex Paddelone from the same period. But this is easilty 10 to 20+ times more expensive... which makes this a fantastic proposition.
