Mint and very rare early 50's Heuer Solunar Tide watch

I'm happy to be able to offer a very rare Heuer Solunar Solar watch from my private collection. This is one of only a few executions of its model, and among the rarest in existence. Originally introduced in 1949 with a modified VJ90 movement, this second-series example from the mid-1950s features a modified movement by A. Schild (A1188) with a capped pusher. It sports the more refined dial from the later production, featuring a mirror finish around the radium hour triangles. Thought to be limited to around 100 pieces. The screw-back case measures 36 mm (excluding the crown) and bears the distinctive Heuer Solunar engraving on the back. The movement is in mint condition and runs beautifully. Attached is a period-original blue Tropic strap with its original Heuer buckle. These are very hard to find in prisine condition so don't miss this opportunity...
