Universal Geneve Tropical ‘Nina Rindt’

Amazing Universal Geneve so called ‘Nina Rindt’ from the 60’s, probably needs no introduction to the collectors interested… This 2nd execution example is to be honest the nicest I’ve seen due to it’s Tropic dial. The sundials of panda dial has changed in such a beautiful brown color… The steel screwback case measures 36mm excl. original crown. Movement is UG signed Valjoux 72 just serviced. It even comes with it’s rare original UG box. Attached is a period brown Tropic strap with original UG buckle. Maybe the nicest Nina around…

Universal Geneve Space Compax MK1

Very cool end 60’s first series UG Space Compax in original condition. Lovely example with beautiful original dial with aged indexes and steel and blued hands. It still retains it’s original pushers (mostly the rubber is worn or renewed with aftermarket ones). The steel asymmetric case measures 38mm excl crowns. It is powered by a Valjoux 72 like a Rolex Daytona. Attached is a very rare UG bracelet made by Gay Freres which is quite valuable in itself. Stunner!

Universal Geneve Polerouter Sub

Very cool UG Polerouter Sub with Asymetric case from the end 60’s. This is a great piece with similar case to the Space Compax. The unpolished steel case measures 40mm excl crown and still bears all the numbers on the case back. The original dial is stunning with lovely aged luminous and cool graphics. Movement is UG’s Auto Microrotor Cal 1-69 and working well. Attached is a period steel bracelet (non UG). This is a great piece and still affordable as UG watches are gaining in value rapidly!

Universal Geneve Tri Compax Moonphase

Super nice and rare Universal Geneve Tri Compax Moonphase from the mid 60’s. Some people see lot’s of similarities to the Rolex Daytona Paul Newman… in any case it’s more complicated and a lot cheaper. This example is in perfect original condition with lovely original dial. The steel case measures 36mm ex. original crown, with a loupe one can still identify some of the numbers on the case back. Movement is UG Cal. 281 and all functions work properly. Attached is a period Tropic strap. UG’s are getting more south after so prices are rising, get it before they become expensive…

Universal Geneve Compax Oversize Pilot Chrono

This is one of the rarest Universal Geneve’s made, it’s a 1940’s Compax Pilot Chrono which measures a whopping 46mm. It’s a stunning and elegant watch on the wrist, large but very wearable due to the thin case. The original dial is the most beautiful I’ve seen on this model (due to the large case, the dials on these models are usually quite aged) and still has the original lume on the dial and hands. The steel case has ref 22430 and is in perfect condition and the 2nd model (another model with different lugs also exists). The Cal 292 Universal movement is very clean and working perfectly. Attached is a 24mm Horoween strap. Awesome piece and one of the best around!

Universal Geneve Chrono for HERMES

Ultra rare Universal Geneve Compax made for Hermes. As some of you might know, Universal made quite a few different models specifically for Hermes and one can find various advertisements on the net. But, this example is one of the rarest as it boasts an oversize 37,5mm steel waterproof screwback case and stunning black dial with gilt printing (all original off course). reference is 224105 which was made in 1946. Movement is Universal’s Cal 285 and even has a dust-cap to protect the movement (rarely seen on UG’s). Attached is a nice black lizard strap. This must be one of the rarest Universal Geneve’s ever made.
