Alfa TZ1 Superb Recreation

In my book, the TZ1 is one of the most beautiful cars ever made; clean elegant lines with the sole purpose of winning races & rallies which it did in the mid 60′s, beating Porsche’s and Ferrari’s. It was so fast because it was light (700kg) and advanced, having a tube-frame with alloy body, independent suspension & disc brakes all round and Alfa’s DOHC 1.600cc engine (some with double ignition). This example is one of the best and most faithfull re-creations made by some of the best specialists with no cost spared. It took 15 years to finish, mainly because as much original parts as possible needed to be found (chassis + some important parts were bought together with an original Le Mans TZ1, 20 years ago). These include original; racing fuelltank, gearbox, diff & brakes, engine parts and radiator, steering box and radiator & side window frames. Engine is the latest spec with GTA head and double ignition having approximately 135 bhp, it has mild cams, ideal for rally use and runs very smoothly. Upon request we can install racing cams which will increase power to at least 160 bhp. The car has been on the dyno and has done approx. 800 kilometers, including 3 vintage car events in the Netherlands. It truly drives exceptionally. The interior has been made exactly like the original spec with the original materials. With the last original example selling for 627.000 euro, this is example is a very good and much cheaper alternative which is perfect for vintage racing or rallying without having to worry about damaging a piece of automotive history but with all the joys such a car brings.
