Tudor Submariner 7924 Big Crown |
|
Tudor Submariner Big Crown # 7924 with original large gilt dial.
Extremely rare Submariner model from IV 1958 made for the Marine Nationale. Similar to the Rolex 5510 & 6538 but much rarer, only about 200 were known to be made. The first batch serial 27xxxx for the Marine Nationale & serial 29xxxx for civilian use (with steel bracelet). The first ones were delivered with 100m dial like this one. Most 7924's have had their dials changed, one can see this by the small gap between the case & dial. This dial is absolutely mint and large. The thick steel screw-back case measures 38mm
without the original Big Rolex crown and is still very sharp & fat. Movement is Tudor A390 Automatic and it works perfectly. Attached is a new brown croco band with Rolex buckle, just like Sean Connery wore his in the 007 film Dr. No (albeit a Rolex 6538). Great piece for half the price of a Rolex BC.
Price Euro 22.450,-

Tudor Submariner 7922 B&P |
|
Tudor Submariner # 7922 with gilt dial + box & papers!!!
Extremely rare Submariner model from 1957, rarer than the big crown version. These are much rarer than any no crown guard Rolex model. It also uses a special case which is completely different that a 5508 or 6536 (much thicker), it mostly resembles the old Milgauss. The thick steel screw-back case measures 38mm
without the original Rolex crown and is still very sharp & fat. All original gilt dial & hands (second hand with the large dot, extremely rare). These early subs has a 100m dial, larger than later vaiants so this dial also fits the Big Crown models. Dial is 100% original and the luminous has hardly aged (still quite white). Movement is Tudor A390 Automatic and it works perfectly. It comes on it's original 7206 rivitted Rolex bracelt, also dated 1957. Serial is 245xxx, dating it also to 1957 (pre Big Crown). It also comes with it's original box & open papers (with jeweler stamp) + hang-tag. If you want a 100% original 7922, look no further

Tudor Submariner 7928 with Stardust dial from 1965 |
|
Tudor Submariner # 7928 with minute-track Star Dust dial.
Have you ever seen a Tudor with this effect on the dial? Super rare and nice, the dial is like a cameleon and changes with the amount of light. Caused by corrosion, the dial seems tropical and is very evenly patinated. The minute-track gilt dial is 100% original and the markers & hands have very nicely aged into a greenish color. The steel screw-back case measures 40m
without the original Rolex crown. It is marked II 1965 which is the last year for minute tracks (64/65). Movement is Tudor Automatic Cal. 390 and is running strong. Overall condition is excellent. Attached is a brown/green NATO band which compliments the indexes perfectly. Once in a life time opportunity!
Price: Euro 3.950,-

Tudor Submariner 7928 from 1964 Underline gilt dial |
|
Tudor Submariner # 7928 with ultra rare gilt-silver Underline dial.
One of the rarest 7928's of which only a few are known! At the end of 1963 & 1964, Rolex stopped using radium on the dials and started using tritium. In order to highlight this for watchmakers, the put a small stripe / underline on the dial. One sees this only in this period and very few dials remain and are thus very rare & collectable. This particular minute-track dial is all original and in magnificent condition. The steel screw-back case with the original Rolex crown is marked III 1964 which is the first year for this configuration. Movement is Tudor Automatic Cal. 390 which is running perfectly. Overall condition is excellent. Attached is new period tropic rubber strap. It also comes with the original vintage Tudor box (missing the insert).Absolutely stunning!

Tudor Homeplate Chrono #7032 B&P |
|
Tudor Homeplate Chronograph # 7032 with original box & open papers: One of my alltime favourites, also called the Porsche chrono. This is the first chronograph made by Tudor in very limited numbers and therefore very rare. This example is in very good original condition, made in II1970 and thus one of the first. The large 40mm case is in excellent condition, has never been polished, with very fat lugs and the original twin-lock crown. The # 7032 has a steel tachy bezel (# 7031 backelite). Most importantly, it has one of the best original dials & hands I've ever seen on this model (large orange hand probably replaced). Attached is an original folded Rolex Oyster bracelet # 9315. Icing on the cake is the original inner & outer box with correct open papers, Tudor wallet with translation paper & a Tudor tag. This is the ultimate 70's timepiece perect for the summer.
