Rolex Daytona 6265 Tropic Sigma Dial |
Rolex Daytona #6265 with rare TROPIC Sigma with original box, booklet & Rolex service papers. What an awesome Daytona, ideal for the summer cause of the TROPIC brown subdials which become even more nicer in the sun. Overall condition is simply perfect and 100% original. It has a rare OT Swiss OT sigma dial which was made only for a short period of which not only the subdials have become brown but also the dial has become a nice brownish smokey effect. The sigma signs meant that the indexes where made from white-gold instead of steel. The hands & tritium dots have aged into a really nice light-brown/cream color. The watch is in 100% original condition with original dial, bezel, Oyster bracelet etc. The serial no is # 38xxxxx which dates it to 1975. The valjoux 727 movement is running very strong. It comes with the original box, Daytona booklet and rare brochure with Dutch priceslist. It also has Dutch Rolex service papers from 10 years ago (warranty papers are unfortunately not there anymore).

Rolex Explorer # 6610 from 1956 |
Rolex Explorer #6610 from 1956 with gilt minute-track dial: One of the nicest original vintage Exlorers I've seen. The original dial and hands are amazing, it has a gloss black dial with gilt printing and gold hands. This is the second Explorer model with serial 168xxx which brings it to II-1956 (also stamped in the caseback). Movement is the automatic Rolex Cal 1030 and is running smoothly. The steel case is the larger 35mm variant and has hardly been polished. It takes a new 20 mm original Rolex dark-brown croco strap with Rolex buckle which suits it perfectly (on requests a tan strap can be supplied also) It's very rare to find an early Explorer in such good condition with such a presence & patina.

Rolex Daytona 6239 Fuerza Aerea Del Peru |
Rolex Daytona #6239 from around 1965 from the Fuerza Aerea Del Peru: This is one of the rarest Daytona's, rarer than a Paul Newman! It is believed that only the fighter-pilots of the Peruvian airforce wore these Daytona's (The GMT & Sub were also supplied next to Omega's) and that around 1.000 were supplied (over a 20 year period). The watches can be distinguished by three important aspects; the inscription on the back, the last three digits of the serial engraved in the caseback and a special 4 digit number on the valjoux 72B movement. This one is 100% original in all aspects, the original silver dial has slightly aged. Original 300 bezel & rivitted Oyster bracelet (stamped 65). Serial is 1,4 million which brings it to 1965. One was recently auctioned at Artcurial and sold above the highest estimate! Super rare & desirable piece!
