Jaeger LeCoultre Power reserve 18K rare |
|
Jaeger LeCoultre Power Reserve Oversize in 18K pink gold. What
a rare find, this is the rarest version of the Power Reserve models. Only about 350 pieces were made in the mid 50's both in steel & gold. It has a larger case than normal (36mm excl. crown) + a super elegant calatrava style case with screw-back in 18K pink gold. The wonderful original white/silver dial has very nicely aged into a light-brown color and has applied gold inexes. Movement is the high quality hammer-automatic JLC 481 with power-reserve indicator which is
working perfectly. The overall
condition is perfect. It comes with it's original 50's JLC box (blue). Attached is a high-quality brown croco
strap. They simply don't make watches like this anymore, ultra rare & ultra elegant.

Jaeger LeCoultre Futurematic SS |
|
Jaeger LeCoultre Futurematic in steel with original box, band & buckle. Ultra
rare & collectible, this Futurematic with ref. E501 was made around 1954, only for the European market (US market only had gold-filled LeCoultre's). This model is rare in itself but steel is rarer than gold. This combined with an all-original condition, original box, band & buckle makes it a truely important piece. It's such a stylish watch, because of the simple design whereby the crown was placed on the back but also because of the size (37mm). JLC had to make a special automatic movement, Cal. 497 with a 40-hour power reserve. More info can be found in the JLC book by Zaf Basha on page 152. This example is in absolute mint original condition with beautiful white/silver dial (best one I've seen on this model). Crystal is also original and has some tiny cracs but prefer to keep it as is. The original band is a bit worn and we have therefore attached a new croco band. The buckle is hard to find and valuable in itself. One of my personal favourites.
