Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Barakuda Military issued

Fantastic and 100% original Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Barakuda from the mid 60’s used by the Polish Navy (from my personal collection). This model FF is my personal favorite as the red details in the dial make it stand-out even more, it also happens to be one of the rarest FF’s made (some say only 150-200 pcs). The dial is in lovely original condition along with the matching hands. The large steel screwback case with rotating back elite bezel measures 42 mm excl. screw-in crown. The side of the case and case back has been engraved with the Polish Navy sign MW (Marynarka Woyenna) and issue number.  Off course it also bears the original Blancpain numbers. Movement is the Automatic AS 1902 and it’s running strong. It comes with two straps: a green Nato and a Tropic. Awesome watch with military history which makes this piece even more interesting.

Blancpain Military Bund 3H

Finally another Blancpain Fifty Fathoms diver’s watch, a military BUND from around 1975. It was made for the technical and general dive service for the Bundeswehr and has stock number: 6645-12-171-4162. The overal condition is excellent and it’s one of the few I’ve seen without a crack in the backelite bezel. The original 3H dial is in great condition also and even the lume still glows in the dark. Movement is Cal 11 ETA 2873 and is working perfectly. Great and rare chunky watch with 42mm case and rotating bezel. They are getting thin on the ground, especially in this condition and rising in value so get it while you still can.

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bundeswehr

Very rare Military Bundeswehr issued Blancpain Fifty fathoms from the mid 60’s. Super nice 100% piece in great condition with original No-Radiation dial. The large 42mm screw-back case bears the Bundeswehr engraving; 6645-12-149-5012 plus an extra inventory number: 86/549. The Military heritage makes this watch even more interesting and collectable. Movement is the Automatic AS 1700 which is running strong. Attached to the ‘fixed lugs’ is a green Nato strap. Super collectible Blancpain FF.

Blancpain Bathyscaphe

Rare Blancpain Bathyscaphe from the end 60’s bought from the first owner. Great original piece with rare red/black alternating date feature. The original dial has aged somewhat but still very nice. The original backelite bezel is in great shape and meaures 37mm. The automatic movement cal 585 is working nicely and is fully signed. Attached is a NOS Tropic band. Vintage Fifty Fathoms are becoming so expensive nowadays that these slightly smaller Bathyscaphe models are following the trend but are still affordable.

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms No Radiation

Minty Blancpain Fifty Fathoms from end 60’s. This is the second generation with graduated bezel and one of the last examples with this case made. It benefits from the very rare 41 jewel automatic movement which only few examples have. The original condition is mint and stunning with beautiful No Radiations dial and rare straight hands. The case is large and measures 41mm exc. the original crown. Attached is a nice cream NATO band. Ultra rare piece and one of the nicest dive-watches made. Very rare and interesting investment piece.

Blancpain Fifty fathoms No Radiations

Another rare Blancpain Fifty Fathoms from the end 60’s. Stunning oversize 2nd generation model with graduated bezel and one of the last series made with this early type case. Lovely original dial and hands which have beautifully aged. The watch was probably a military version (BUND) as it also bears the no-radiation symbol which indicates (changes color) when radiation occurs.  The oversize 41mm case is in nice condition with minor scratches and has benefiited from a polish in the past. Movement is the AS1700 with date feature which is the most widely used movement of the Fifty fathoms. Attached is a NOS tropic band. These are now getting really thin on the ground and rising in value fast as Blancpain also issued a re-edition of this model.

Blancpain Aqua Lung / Fifty fathoms

One of the first dive-watches made, the Blancpain Aqua Lung / Fifty fathoms started it’s life in the early fifties and is one of the most beautiful watches the industry has produced. Now very rare and sought after, this example is in mint original condition and truly the best I’veen. This version is from the end 50’s and is a US version which was named Aqua Lung after Jacques Cousteau’s invention (European models were called Fifty fathoms). He also wore these watches on his diving expeditions. The version here with date is extra rare (mostly non-dates) and has the rare matte / grey case which measures 41mm excl. crown. Some say these matte version had military use. The original backelite bezel is in stunning condition and really makes the watch. The original dial is perfect condition and the original hands have a lot of charm and have aged, basically the only indicator which tells the watch is so old (rest is soo perfect). Attached is a NOS tropic diving band. Get it fast as these are very rare and rarely come up for sale, rightfully so collectors hold on to them ever so tight.
